Watermark’s Mark Pullen will join a notable line-up of thought-leaders at the 2016 National Economic Development Conference (‘NEDC’) which takes place in Perth next week.
This year’s conference, which will run over three days from 5-7 October, will explore two central themes: Local Government leading the way in economic development; and collaborating to achieve economic and infrastructure priorities.
Speakers include Her Excellency Kerry Sanderson AO, West Australian Governor, and Wendy Dupley, Director of Economic Developers Association of Canada and the Executive Director for the City of Abbotsford Economic Development Team as well as John Langoulant AO, CEDA, Philippa Dawson of Austrade, Kieran Kinsella of the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, Mark Shelton of Bloom, Mike Bradford of Landgate and representatives from the Cities of Swan, Belmont, Canning, Bunbury and Marion among others.
In addition to the conference proper, a Technical Tour will include site visits to a number of innovative, economic development projects in the Perth metropolitan area and a Masterclass will focus on the contribution of university-city partnerships to regional growth and prosperity.
The conference is expected to attract over 200 delegates comprising economic development practitioners, representatives from all levels of government, as well as various aligned organisations, both local and overseas.
