SEMINAR: How to Identify IP in a Business/Technology. 28 August 2018. (Vic)

In partnership with the Association of Corporate Counsel Australia (ACC), Watermark is presenting: How to Identify IP in a Business/Technology – identifying high value sources of IP.

With a technology focus, attendees will be provided a contextual introduction to the available suite of IP rights and the relative commercial advantage and value each provides.  Tools will also be shared in respect of:

  • how corporate commercial strategy and resourcing and the nature of a market can assist in allocating priorities to IP creation and capture as a business procedure
  • IP creation and incentivisation schemes
  • mechanisms to identify and capture IP, including IP audit procedures
  • how to distinguish whether or not investment in IP can be justified

In-house lawyers are invited to participate in this seminar.  Eligible participants will receive 1 CPD point for practice management and business skills/legal skills or practice.
