Advising on complex licensing arrangements with respect to commercialisation of bionic eye technology, involving five licensees and three commercialisation streams

  • Conducting a comprehensive IP audit for commercialisation of haptic-based technology by an Australian university spin-out
  • Advising the owner of an innovative beer storage solution on a worldwide exclusive supply arrangement with a major beer brand
  • Acting on behalf of a major car manufacturer in relation to the sale of counterfeit vehicle parts by its leading dealer, involving trade mark infringement, breach of dealer agreement and defending a cross-claim for unconscionable conduct
  • Advising in relation to IP aspects of a High Court challenge to plain packaging legislation for cigarettes
  • Acting as independent solicitor in the execution of Supreme Court search orders at multiple locations in respect of counterfeit toys
  • Successfully settling Federal Court proceedings in relation to trade mark and copyright infringement with respect to official merchandise arrangements for the Football World Cup
  • Successfully defending an Australian chocolate manufacturer in Federal Court proceedings with respect to use of the colour purple
  • Brand management for high profile Australian athletes, including advising on sponsorship, publishing and film arrangements, and trade marks
  • Negotiating supply and licensing arrangements between the CFA and rights holder of electronic fire safety signs
