The Australian Government recently announced the latest recipients of grants under the Clean Technology Investment Program and Clean Technology Food and Foundries Investment Program.
AusIndustry administers the A$1.2 billion Clean Technology Program which provides incentives for business to reduce emissions and invest in clean energy. Further information about the three programs in the Clean Technology Program can be found here.
Over one hundred grants have been provided from these Clean Technology Investment Programs since July 2011. These grants support the research, development and commercialisation of clean technology products, processes and services. They also support manufacturers to invest in and develop energy efficient and low emission technologies.
Many of the projects that are eligible for grant funding (whether funding is granted or not) are also eligible for the R&D tax incentive scheme and some inventions that result from research and development conducted under the grant funding will be eligible for IP protection. Watermark congratulates all its clients who received a grant.
