Call for applications from textile, clothing and footwear manufacturers

The Australian Government Initiative is currently calling for applications for the Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Small Business Program. Grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded for projects that will improve business enterprise for established small businesses. Applications close 5pm Friday 1 March 2013.

Small businesses that manufacture textiles, clothing or footwear in Australia or design for manufacture in Australia are eligible, for projects to be undertaken in 2013-14. Projects must change the strategic approach/direction of the business to enable the business to become more sustainable and internationally competitive.

Applicants must:

• Have fewer than 20 employees
• Undertaken eligible textile, clothing and footwear activities
• Have a turnover more than $100,000
• Make a minimum cash contribution to the project of more than 25%
