Senior Counsel

The NSW bar association has released the list of barristers appointed as Senior Counsel in 2008. Amongst the barristers is intellectual property practitioner Ms Julia Baird, who has been at the bar for 16 years having previously worked as a lawyer in the intellectual property group for a major national law firm. Ms Baird, who will join last years appointments from the intellectual property bar, Mr Stephen Burley and Ms Sophie Goddard, further swells the ranks of IP silks in Sydney depleted following the appointment of Justice Bennett AO to the Federal Court in 2003.
