Simon graduated from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland going on to work as a senior patent searcher for the Information Division of RWS Group plc in London. He was responsible for the electrical search section and handled a wide variety of subject matter including the fields of telecommunications, optical systems and devices, electrical machines, power systems, vehicular technology, internet-base systems and television systems.
Simon moved to Australia and joined Watermark in 2001.
