Joining Watermark in 2002, Belinda is registered as a Patent and Trade Mark Attorney in Australia and New Zealand. Belinda has practical industry experience in bulk materials handling, a gas-fired power station and in the air-conditioning / building and construction industry. She also has experience with ABB in Switzerland in procurement and supply chain management for manufacture of gas turbines.

Her engineering studies at Monash University focused on fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Her minor thesis was experimental research on turbulent sidewall boundary layer instabilities in confined swirling flow, providing practical validation of computer modelling software developed by the CSIRO.

Since joining Watermark, Belinda has worked for clients in many industries, including automotive, paper & textile products, packaging, facility air control, materials handling and heavy plant, wine and clothing.

Belinda has experience in drafting and prosecution of patents, trade marks and designs in Australia and overseas. She also has experience in giving our clients commercial and practical advice on the value and strength of their own and other’s IP portfolios, in contentious matters and in patent auditing and due diligence exercises.
