Bruce has a Bachelor of Science with Honors (Biochemistry / Microbiology) from Monash University and completed his PhD part-time through Sydney University whilst working at the Children's Medical Research Institute. His PhD focused on neuronal cell surface proteins, providing him with a diverse range of technical experience, particularly in the areas of molecular biology and protein chemistry.
Bruce has held two Post-Doctoral positions in medical research facilities, particularly research related to cell adhesion molecules, animal models of nerve injury and regeneration, and has published in a number of internationally reviewed journals.
His professional interest is to use his research background to liaise with the scientific community particularly in the areas of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
