“You have to make sure you have the resources you need, and the perseverance and determination to complete the journey. I learnt that lesson rock climbing and hiking and it applies just as well to the process of developing innovation from a concept into a viable commercial product.” I AM: Able to focus on the commercial possibilities Title: IP Professional. Qualifications: Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Business Management When I decided to join the IP profession, Watermark was a logical choice for me. The firm’s strategic focus on commercial outcomes for their clients fits well with my real-world philosophy on technology development. My family runs a machinery manufacturing business and from an early age I have had a practical understanding of the imperative for innovation to earn its keep. I went on to study both mechanical engineering and business management supporting my interest in bringing technical applications successfully into the marketplace. In my final year of study I worked on a project to design an all-terrain vehicle for use in mine exploration and recovery applications with a new type of suspension system winning the best final year project prize. I spent my internship in Switzerland working with Packsys Global as a trainee engineer in the design department. I’m looking forward to the challenge of working with Australia’s best innovators to help develop their ideas into profitable working products. Email Shriraj > Career Highlights and Expertise > |
