Sean advises on contentious and transactional matters involving a broad range of intellectual property rights, with a particular emphasis on brand strategy and commercialisation. Sean’s non-contentious practice includes negotiating and preparing commercial agreements relating to the disclosure of confidential information, evaluation of technology, licensing and commercialisation of intellectual property rights, joint ventures and franchising. Sean also advises in relation to competition law, information technology matters and domain names, including enforcement of rights through the Federal Court of Australia, World Intellectual Property Office and other dispute resolution procedures.

Sean works with Australian and international clients from a number of different industries including chemical, pharmaceutical, fashion, entertainment, food/beverage, manufacturing, building and FMCG. After completing his science and law degrees at the University of Melbourne in 2005, Sean commenced his career at a boutique commercial law firm in Melbourne, with a particular focus on trade marks and related rights. Sean joined Watermark in 2009.
