Mark Pullen loves it when people really get IP; what it is, how you can use it and what it can deliver.

“I’ve done a lot of things in my time. I was a marine engineer, I’ve worked in the railway industry and now I’m a patent attorney. I’ve always been adaptable but the common element for me has always been innovation. With IP, it’s the combination of science, technology and business meeting in a framework of intangible assets that appeals to me” I AM: interested in who clients are and what they do Title: Principal, Patent and Trade Marks Attorney Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (Interdisciplinary Physics) (Honours) I hold an Honours degree in Physics from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. My studies included developing a computerised patient treatment planning system for combining CT and X-ray images in cancer treatment. I have an extremely broad foundation of industrial experience in mechanical and electrical engineering working in the railway industry in the UK, and serving as a Marine Engineer in the Royal Navy. I moved into IP initially as a patent examiner in the UK Patent Office, South Wales. My fields of interest there covered a broad spectrum of mechanical and electrical technologies, taking in subjects as diverse as vehicle engine management systems and borehole telemetry through to coin discrimination and product packaging systems. In July 2000 I decided to emigrate to Western Australia and qualified as a patent and trade mark attorney with Watermark. I really enjoy the variety of innovative people and businesses I get to meet and learn about. Email Mark >Career Highlights and Expertise > |
