My technical background includes chemistry and biotechnology. I have training in organic and inorganic chemistry as well as protein chemistry and molecular biology – particularly in the context of health sciences. My patent clients are predominantly in the agricultural, healthcare, food and packaging industries and my practice includes patent drafting, prosecution, opposition and pre-litigation advice as well as litigation assistance.

My substantial trade marks practice encompasses trade mark filing, prosecution, opposition and non-use work in relation to Australian and New Zealand trade marks. I am experienced in filing and prosecuting and maintaining international trade mark portfolios for Australian clients.

I have additional strengths and a great interest in all facets of managing an IP portfolio; how to protect IP, how to monitor and interpret competitor activity, how to identify intellectual assets and how to get value from them.
