I have also worked within the Communications and High Technology market division of a global management and technology consulting company. I have also worked in various positions at both the University of Melbourne in the Optics department and RMIT University in the Microelectronics and Materials Technology Centre, conducting research in areas including lasers, optical fibres and microfluidics for use in biomedical devices such as for the early detection of cancer. My specialist areas are micro and nanotechnology including microfluidics, medical devices, renewable energy including solar, telecommunications, physics, optics and optical fibre technology.
